U.S. equity markets rallied Tuesday morning as Silicon Valley giants drove the Nasdaq Composite toward its 29th record high this year.  U.S. equity markets rallied Tuesday morning as Silicon Valley giants drove the Nasdaq Composite toward its 29th record high this year. The tech-heavy index gained 0.65 percent in the opening minutes of trading while the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 rose 0.7 percent and 0.61 percent, respectively. The benchmark S&P 500 clawed its way back into positive territory for 2020 a day earlier. Tech stalwarts Amazon Inc., Apple Inc., Microsoft Corp. and Tesla Inc. were in focus as they traded at, or near, record highs.
